Virtual Fútbol Academy: Virtual Reality
What’s included?
With the Virtual Reality, you can upload real game film (from Veo, Hudl, and more). The VR Training will turn game film into a 3D VR scenario, so your youth players can practice decision-making in real time.
Plus: If you are enrolled in other VFA experiences, you also get access to a library of session plans developed by our staff of professional coaches. The session plans can be taken straight into Virtual Reality for a 3D, immersive experience to help your players level up.
Your session plans will cover the following topics:
Technical Concepts
-
Learn how to developing players' ability to make accurate short and long passes and receive the ball under pressure.
-
Learn drills to improve first touch, ball mastery, and ball control in tight spaces.
-
Learn exercises to enhance dribbling skills, using feints and changes of direction to beat defenders.
-
Learn how to improve shooting technique with both feet, practice volleys, shots from distance, and finishing from different angles.
Offensive Tactical Concepts
-
Teach the concept of maintaining shape, spacing, and passing triangles to create overloads and exploit space.
-
Practice starting attacks from the goalkeeper or defenders with patience, moving the ball forward through the lines.
-
Focus on creating goal-scoring opportunities through combination play, overlaps, and through balls.
-
Teach your players how to make a quick transition from defense to attack, to exploit the opponent’s unorganized defense.
Defensive Tactical Concepts
-
Learn drills that focus on when and how to press opponents. Teach your players the difference between high, mid, and low blocks.
-
Teach your team to maintain a compact shape, reducing the space between lines to limit the opponent's ability to play through.
-
Teach your players to handle isolated situations where they learn to position their body, close down space, and tackle or intercept.
-
Learn drills on zonal defending so players learn how to cover for teammates, shifting as a collective based on the ball's position.
Types of Tasks
-
Learn how to coach rondos and keep-away games that develop quick decision-making, ball control, and spatial awareness.
-
Create different games to simulate real-game situations. Help players hone specific skills such as: how to play with numbers up or down, scoring with headers or one-touch finishes, spatial awareness, gametransitions, and more.
-
Train your team on how to transition through scenarios where they win possession or lose the ball. Work on quick transitions between defense and attack.
-
Use small-sided games (3v3, 5v5) to test quick decisions, constant ball movement, or add constraints (like limited touches or must-pass rules) to enhance player learning.
